Synopsis

In the heart of a french village in 2020, five individuals united under the name “The BlackBird Group”, wander in silence in their house and prepare themselves for an extreme symbolic action.

Biography

Anton Bialas was born in 1990 in Paris. His first film, Derrière Nos Yeux, was selected for the FID Marseille 2018 and won the Georges de Beauregard prize, the Prix des Lycéens and a special mention from the French Institute of Critics. The film was subsequently screened in numerous international festivals such as Visions du Réel, Doclisboa, and Côté Court where it won the Grand Prix Art-Vidéo. Alongside his films, Anton Bialas released (in collaboration with Kamilya Kuspanova) a book of photographs, “Début de siècle”, in 2019. In 2020 his film À l’entrée de la nuit was selected for official competition at the Berlinale, followed by numerous festivals such as Go Short Nijmegen and Côté Court where he won the Est ensemble prize.
