Synopsis

16th century: After a period overseas in Antarctic France, Jean Aurand finds refuge as a servant in the house of French philosopher Michel de Montaigne, where a series of fantastical events, involving the arrival of time travelers, change the lives of these two men forever.

Biography

Bernardo Zanotta is a film director and visual artist based between Amsterdam and Paris. His films have been showcased at international art venues, cinemas, and film festivals, including the British Film Institute, the Eye Film Museum, FID Marseille, Rotterdam, BAFICI, and Locarno, where he received the Pardino d’Argento Award for his short film Heart of Hunger in 2018.
