Synopsis

Malika is 47 and looks 10 years younger. Her life has always been one of intensity and chance encounters. Tired of this perpetual instability, she takes shelter for a while at Kamel, her father, in the flat where she grew up, and reconnects with him before he leaves to return to Algeria.

Biography

Vincent Weber studied film at the École Cantonale d’Art de Lausanne. His graduation film, La Noyée (2011), won the SSA / SUISSIMAGE Emerging Talent Award at the 47th Solothurn Film Festival and was bought by Arte. In 2017, he finished his second short film, Déter, which was selected and won awards at several festivals, including Angers (Grand prix du jury ex-æquo, male and female acting awards), Belfort (special mention in the Eurocks One+one award) and Brive (Prix Ciné +). In 2018, he directed the episode Garde la pêche of the documentary series ‘Hobbies’ broadcast on CANAL+. His third short film (Qui a parlé de fin?) was selected for the FIFIB in 2021.
